Thierry & Patricia Moity previously owned Patou Bistro in Charlotte, NC & Cafe de Bruxelles in NYC. Chef Thierry has been cooking since age 13 in some of the finest restaurants in Europe & USA. His cuisine is influenced by many traditions; Patricia comes from the northern part of France near the Belgium border, while Thierry's origins are deeply rooted in the central provinces of the country. According to Chef Thierry, “I want everyone to feel welcome in my restaurant. We are working against the stereotype that French food must be intimidating and expensive.”

We have been coming to Caprice Bistro for years and unfortunately I have to say the quality of the food is not as good. My husband's steak was fatty and served lukewarm. The vegetable medley that accompanied the entree was limp, soggy and not very appealing. My trout was good but the food hidden under it was just average. The presentation of both dishes was nice but not outstanding. Our other dining companion had the flounder special and she enjoyed it. The other person in our party also had the steak and said it was tasty but he has had better.. The restaurant is lovely, the atmosphere is great and the staff are all excellent but let's face it, the food is what this experience is all about. Will we come back? Probably not, sad to say.

Food and wine was delicious. Bistro had a great vibe. Onion soup, crepe and mixed seafood specialty all got rave reviews. Service was with a smile. Will dine here again.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Wilmington. The atmosphere is eclectic and charming-especially on the 2nd floor. Last night I had the best manhattan ever and the best onion soup. All the food is delicious and very fairly priced for a downtown, upscale restaurant. I’ll be back soon!

We recently enjoyed one of our top 10 meals of the year here at the Caprice Bistro. From the Calamari to the Crème Brûlée the preparation and taste were flawless. I would recommend Beef Bourguignon and Waterzooi without hesitation. Both delivered exceptional flavor and surprisingly ample portions.

I thought the menu lacked inspiration. My dinner, chicken breast, was mediocre. I probably won’t be back. Very disappointed.
