This casual, upscale restaurant offers innovative American cuisine including the freshest seafood from the Gulf of Mexico, Atlantic and Pacific, great steaks from Allen Brothers in Chicago, and regional and seasonal specialties. Daily lunch and dinner specials feature local ingredients whenever possible. The Heights burger can be paired with hand cut French fries, crispy thin onion rings, homemade lemon-pepper potato chips or German potato salad. There is an outdoor patio under a canopy of oak trees that's shady and extremely popular with locals and visitors to San Antonio. The brunch offered on Saturdays and Sundays features a menu of classic egg dishes, Texas pot roast, jumbo lump crab cake, seasonal "out of the blue" seafood entrees, entree salads, and Mustang chicken. Cappy's has an ever-changing, dynamic and well-priced wine list, with great choices by the glass or bottle. Full bar.

    Able, our kind waitperson, patiently waited as my guest and I caught up before taking our order. He was so kind and understanding. The food looked and tasted delicious! Thank you for a lovely lunch!

    Cappy's is our go-to restaurant for special events, like birthdays. The menu has a variety of dinners that all sound delicious. Every one I have had is as good as it sounds. Last night I had the Faroe Islands salmon with lobster mashed potatoes, asparagus corn succotash, and it was outstanding. The service couldn't have been better. I called as we were on our way to tell them we would be late due to a backup on the highway, and when we arrived more than a half-hour later, our table was waiting. Their outside patio, under huge live oaks, is my favorite spot. Originally we reserved a table there, but as the day drew near there was a chance of rain and cooler weather than expected, so we changed to inside. The restaurant is divided into several areas, which keeps the noise level down and gives the feeling of a much smaller restaurant than it is. We love Cappy's other restaurants, La Fonda on Main and Mama's, too and have never failed to have an excellent meal. I really have not been paid to write such a glowing review -- what I have written is 100% true.

    This is a favorite restaurant for my husband and I. We celebrate our anniversary every year at Cappy's. The food is delicious and the wine selection is excellent. This year Brianna was terrific. Thanks.
