Canniti’s chef creates fabulous.very non tradional, creative Italian food. Everything we had was outstanding! We had a pasta with duck, the pasta with salmon, a white polenta fries appetizer, and a dessert with acorn squash. All superb. The service was excellent. Their prices are extremely reasonable. The patio dining area was heated and fabulous.

We went last minute on a Tuesday right at opening (5:30). Weather warm so sat outside in the back which was very pleasant plus so early no other diners yet so very quiet. Food was very good plus an interesting thing as myself being a motorcycle rider is various vintage motorcycles are prominently displayed in restaurant. Forestville is nice go check it out and make sure to eat at Canneti.

This was absolutely one of the best Italian meals I have ever had. It was so good we went back again the next night. We were staying at the Farmhouse Inn and it’s super close. I had the squid ink with clams the 2nd night and it came wrapped in paper. So delicious. They are really helpful about wine and will let you taste it before you order. My favorite restaurant in wine country now.

Wow what an amazing place! The food was excellent and very authentic Italian. Service was amazing. Would highly recommend if you are anywhere in the Russian River Valley.

Wonderful restaurant. Chef has taken care to build an interesting menu for meat eaters and vegetarian. Our server could speak knowledgeably about the food and the wine. Salads, pastas and main dishes were delicious; desserts, not so much. The patio is delightful. We’ve been here twice and would come again and again.

A couple months ago, we had a pleasant brunch on the porch at Canneti Roadhouse Italiana in Forestville. Last night we went back to try dinner, since we had been intrigued by the menu. We had the tasting menu with the wine pairing, for the full experience: melon soup shooter with caviar, roasted peaches with gorgonzola, a lamb sugo with pasta, a roasted half-hen, and a rice custard cake for dessert. Large portions of everything (except the shooter, obviously) -- we brought leftovers home. Again, we ate on the patio, which was delightful on a warmish evening. Service was attentive and friendly, and we were able to hold a conversation without effort (lots of room in the outdoor space). The food is very good, and the tasting menu gives a good overview. The paired wines are well-matched to the food. If you like "real" Italian food, it's worth a trip to Forestville. We will definitely be back to try other things on the menu (and more lamb sugo, which was my favorite).
