   The food, ambiance, and service were underwhelming from arrival to departure. The host tried to give us what was probably the worst table in the place- a table that should not even exist. (It’s at the very entrance and almost out of the dining area altogether. ) We had a reservation, were on time and, it turned out, the restaurant was not full. The host did give us a new table (we asked nicely), but she was cold and unwelcoming. The waiter was friendly and helpful but didn’t ask for our drink order and disappeared after initial service. I suspect he had more tables than he could manage and was doing the best he could. The food was hit or miss- well prepared and presented, with reasonable portions (neither too big nor too small). Most of what we ordered just generally didn’t have enough flavor. The restaurant is modern and interestingly designed. Some of the lower area felt like a basement, however, in terms of space and lighting. Sitting at a larger table with a group in one of the more well lit areas would be a better experience (and would be an opportunity to sample a broader range of dishes.)

   My experience overall was a great one! My only complaint would be about the women at the front desk. We had a reservation at 11:45 pm which we were running 5 minutes late for. I called them to notify them that we were right down the street and then they proceeded to lie to us and tell us that the kitchen was closing at 11:45 pm and essentially that we shouldn’t come. We were right down the street anyway and were surprised to find out that the kitchen does not close until 12:30 am. This was on Valentine’s Day too and was very off-putting. Otherwise our server was spectacular & food,drinks, and ambience were above average. Would definitely return.

   It was Beautiful restaurant with amazing food. My waitress was exceptional and the ladies at check in were kind and informative ….all I can say is TOP TIER….!!!!!

   Great place to see and be seen. Beautiful setting. Food was good though portions were rather small for the price. Overall a nice experience at an “in” place..

   All over the place. Some things terrible, some things very good, and one thing amazing. Terrible: Fried chicken breast: cheap sauce and super dry. Chicken soup dumplings: chewy grisly meat, weak flavor. Drinks: Bartender had limited knowledge and it showed in his work. Pretty looking drinks with little flavor. Ok: vegetable fried rice with curry. Should be more coconut, and flavor in general. Very good: Edamame dumplings Amazing: Black miso cod. Eggplant side was good too. Overall? Price did not match flavor. Good ambience however

   We celebrated Valentines day at Buddakan and it was remarkable. We had a table in the main dining hall that was perfectly set for 2 people and it was pure magic. The staff was terrific and the food was delicious. Thank you for a magical night.

   The food was delicious; cooked to perfection. The ambience was phenomenal. This is my fourth visit and it always feels like I’m entering the most exclusive restaurant in the city. Well recommended for a nice date night.

    It was good to be back. Unfortunately, our last time was a better experience than tonight’s visit. The appetizers and dessert were the key roles in tonights outing. The meals not so much. Both the full seabass, lobster rice and the steak bites were luck warm and lacked flavor. I had to order hot sauce to give the meals flavor. Would i return?? It’s a HUGE maybe. Not for a while
