   We asked for Jacob as our server as he always does a great job: great service, personable with a good sense of humor. Food was also very good last night. We’re getting used to the menu change and both enjoyed what we ordered.

   I’m used to much better at this establishment. We’ve always looked forward to a good experience here and we’ve always spread the world. Not so much last night. I’m used to the salad served ahead and separately from the main dish. They were served at the same time. Both the potatoes and tuna were barely luke warm. Water glasses were never refilled. We decided to pass on coffee and dessert, not not convinced it would be the experience we’re used to. The manger stopped by and asked about our experience. He seemed surprised at my review, but was less than sincere with a weak response. Do we need to look elsewhere for the “old” Bristol’s ?

   Wayne, I appreciate your long term support and your detailed insight. I have followed up with these concerns with my chef team, management team and the service group involved on thursday. I recently took this location back over, and we have worked through a number of opportunities, and we are establishing a firm foothold again.    Been coming here for years but the past few times my group has had issues with bits of our meal. Whipped potatoes being chunky and having skins, crème brûlée wasn’t done

   Our server Doug was fantastic. We were celebrating a birthday and everything was great. We happened to go on Sunday for half price bottles and brought some nice bottles home with us. We will be back!

   I could tell that our server was very busy because she wasn’t able to be very attentive to us. A few times, I had to ask her more than once for something. My husband ordered his steak medium rare and it was very overdone and because our food took such a long time to come out, he was afraid to have them re-make it so he didn’t eat any of it and just ate his sides. They did take the steak off the bill. Overall, not a great experience.

   Bristol’s is always great. Waiters are top notch and the food is excellent. Steaks cooked to your liking and the tenderness of the meat is fabulous. Seafood is fresh and well prepared. The Crab cakes were good and shrimp were flavorful. I liked the smoked old fashion cocktail too.
