   It was a great time. We wanted to mix a dinner and meeting. We didn’t have to struggle to hear over the other patrons and the food was delicious. Our waiter Luigi was awesome!

   The minute we walked in the doors we were greeted so warmly. The young gentleman who sat us was pleasant and offered a booth vs the table. Within minutes we met Luigi….IYKYK! Top notch service, laughter and he made our night so memorable. My husband and I hadn’t visited for about 3 years until tonight. Borealis will now be on our weekly rotation of local dining. Thank you to all who made this dinner feel like a special occasion when it was just a night out for us.

   This is not the first time they are understaffed so the food and specially the service was TERRIBLE! we have given more than one chance as we believe they have a good concept but this will be the last one for sure.

   I like the local food menu showing the distance to the selection. Food was just ok, perhaps we just picked the wrong items to showcase the restaurant. Unfortunately we were put in the side room which was quite noisy and unappealing. If we ever go back we will ask to be in main dining area. Waitress was attentive and very nice.

   Our dinner took 45 min to arrive - we had to flag someone down to get them to look into it. Very little in the way of apologies. We were on our way to a show which we were late for. Food was good but I won’t be going back.

   We used to be big fans of Borealis, but in recent years we've been less impressed. Nonetheless we decided to give it a try tonight with friends from out of town. Three of the us chose Steak Frites. The steaks were overcooked for medium rare, and were chewy in the extreme. The fries were over-salted, over-seasoned with a cheesy flavour, and nowhere close to crisp. These were relatively expensive meals and not remotely worth it. We had made reservations, and when we arrived we were shown to a table in the very noisy bar. When we asked if we could sit instead in the restaurant, we were told, in no very friendly fashion, that if we wished to be seated in a place other than the bar, we should have specified this in the notes section of the online reservation. It has never been our experience that you need to specify that you'd prefer to be seated in the restaurant when your intention is to dine. The impression we received was that we were somehow at fault. Seriously? The one bright spot was our server, Ashley, who was friendly and responsive. But a great waitress in a third-rate restaurant does not add up to a good night out.

   Delicious meal, great service and I loved that the restaurant wasn’t noisey. ( however it was probably 1/2 empty. Server was friendly and attentive.

   Fantastic as always. It’s great to see the same staff from year to year. That’s always a great sign that things are as good behind the scenes as they are for guests.

   We have dined often at this restaurant and have been impressed with their specials. Last smoked pork chops were on the menu and were absolutely delicious, cooked perfectly, and attractively plated. This is one restaurant that never disappoints.
