    We were celebrating a birthday and were looking for a place where they had lobster. We both chose the lobster bisque which was excellent. Our main course was PEI lobster tail. Again, it was excellent, but a bit pricy. Portions were good, vegetable steamed to perfection. Would definitely order it again. A complementary dessert was served for the birthday attendee. BRAVO!!

    The server forgot we ordered appetizers. When I asked where they were after our main meals were served, she said they were coming. After I asked again after a few minutes , she said a couple of minutes more. She forgot to place our order for appetizers and we had to eat them after we had started eating our main courses. After I had paid and given her the tip, I asked her to take a picture of our group. She was holding something and said she’d be right back. She never came back and I had to ask another server to take our picture. I should have given a smaller tip, something more appropriate to the kind of service we received.

    The service was fine, but that’s all. The poke bowl was, I’m very sorry to say, was absolutely awful. Bland from the tuna all the way through to the sauce. We have been to other boathouse restaurants and been pleased. At this location the food was at best basic and bland. Considering this is a seafood restaurant this Poké bowl was unforgivable.

    Too bad the miso halibut has bee taken off the menu. The pan seared halibut was very dry and the black cod was not cooked properly tasted like raw fish.

    Salmon and cod was excellent. I’ve been to Boathouse quite a few times, and was hesitant due to prior experiences. This time exceeded expectations

    I used to go to The Boathouse quite regularly and haven’t been in over a year. The food was good, the restaurant clean and as I remember it - warm, cozy. The service was less stellar than I’ve had in the past. Efficient but not very warm or friendly. It was a quiet night and there were 2 of us celebrating a birthday. We felt rushed. We weren’t offered a dessert menu or coffee. Almost immediately upon finishing our meal the free birthday dessert arrived. It was assumed we wanted it rather than offering options, coffee, a little break between meal and dessert. It was ice cream based so it’s not like we could have taken our time. Other than the poor service experience, we enjoyed our meal.
