What are Dining Points?
Dining Points are earned with certain table times and provided to the reserving OpenTable account. The reservation must be made on opentable.com.au, our mobile sites, or apps. The exact number of points on offer is displayed throughout the reservation process. Points are awarded when a restaurant marks your reservation as “seated” in their OpenTable system. You will not be awarded points if you don’t make your reservation or cancel.
How do I collect Dining Points?
We will let you know if a table time is eligible for points but you must activate point collection before completing your reservation. Instructions for different devices are listed below.

- Download the OpenTable app if you haven’t already
- Login or create a new account
- Tap your avatar in the top right hand corner of the home screen
- Tap about you
- Tap the dining points toggle to activate collection
- Tap save
Android
- Download the OpenTable app if you haven’t already
- Login or create a new account
- Tap your avatar in the top right hand corner of the home screen
- Tap account settings
- Tap account details
- Tap the dining points toggle to activate collection
- Tap done
What can I exchange my Dining Points for?
You can exchange your points for an Amazon.com.au Gift Card under the points section of your profile. There are three values to choose from. All are sent via email and typically arrive within a few weeks of redemption.

Do Dining Points expire?
Yes. Dining Points are for active OpenTable users. If you go 12 months without making a points eligible reservation on OpenTable with your account, then your points will expire. In addition, points must be redeemed within three (3) years from the end of the calendar quarter in which these points were collected. Calendar quarters end on March 31, June 30, September 30 and December 31 of each year. For example, points collected by a member on January 1, 2019 must be redeemed by 11:59 pm Pacific Time on March 31, 2022. When you redeem your points OpenTable will select the oldest points earned first to create your redemption.
Where can I check my Dining Points balance and expiring points?
You can view your Dining Points balance and points set to expire this quarter in your OpenTable profile.
