BBQ & Lobstershack. We're a local institution, with an international following, this powerhouse of a restaurant is set over 2 huge floors in Covent Garden boasting a 9m wow factor bar on the ground floor & a more intimate speak-easy style shelter bar on the lower deck.

We proudly offer a large slice of easy going living, inspired by the Gulf Coast, with live bands 7 nights week, a friendly welcoming atmosphere, fresh cocktails, ice cold beers and generous portions of
good old home-style cooking offering Home-Smoked BBQ & Fresh East Coast Lobsters.

Fast forward to today and we continue to uphold those time-honoured traditions; social occasions of the bygone age, friends getting together over great fresh food, plentiful drinks and music - these never go out of fashion.

    Although having a booking, we were placed at a table in a narrow space with several people. There was a quite disturbing noise from a ventilation machine and there was an unpleasant smell. The popcorn shrimps were quite spicy (although I specifically asked and was reassured that they weren't). The Mac and cheese was badly made (full of oil) and our burgers were so tasteless and both were missing the salad. Additionally the burgers were served in such an oily plate, that was so unpleasant not only to our hands, but eyes too. Overall it was a bad experience and we are so frustrated because we have been to Canary wharf and Convent Garden many times, where the food quality and customer experience were worse time after time. We used to really like Big Easy, but we decided this was the last time we wasted 100 pounds (2 adults & 1 child).

    Love Big Easy.. been here so many times with friends, family and couples. The place is great with nice atmosphere, but recently service is lacking. One of our ordered on 14/12/2024 the waiter got it wrong but was managed and sorted by manager. So overall happy with it and doesn’t put me off to continue with this place. Merry Christmas 2024

    Not entirely happy for the money we spent I felt like we were crammed in… Not allowed a lot of time and the food was not amazing but ok - to spend over £200 I would have expected more

    I used to really enjoy the Big Easy, but it’s been a couple of years since I was last there. It’s now very tired, the food is average and the service underwhelming.

    Underground was a mess and almost defeated two (west) country bumpkins and looked like we were going to be even later than the 15 min grace period but after a phone call, the nice person moved our booking slightly so we could keep our table. Thank you for that whoever you were :)
