   We’re regulars at Benihana and tonight was just awful. They were running 45 minutes behind on reservation times, were extremely short staffed, and everything took forever. Bummer for my daughter’s birthday dinner. My A5 steak was pure fat (and I’ve eaten a lot of A5). Just a bad experience overall

   Overall, it was fine. The most disappointing part, though was the steak. If I'm going to spend $62 on a wagyu steak, I expect to be able to taste the steak. Instead, all I tasted was SALT - enough that it actually burned my mouth. Everything else tasted good, but because of that, I can't say it was worth the money spent.

   I’ve been to Benihana several times. The food was great, as usual. It was super busy and slow this night. Still 5 star. I’ll be back.

   Had a reservation for 4:30 and had to wait half hour to be seated only to wait another 25 minutes before being served. Spent over $400 for 3 adults 1 child. Not complaining about price but not worth hassle. Too many great establishments downtown with great drinks, eats and atmosphere for the money.

   Took 45 min to be seated and we arrived 32 min early because we knew there might be a slight wait. Were told three times only 15 more min. Not even close! After being sat the drinks took 37 minutes and then the soup and salad were served promptly BUT….took nearly TWO HOURS!!!!, before a chef showed up to cook for us!!! Insane! Then the waitress, Angela, never came back to refill drinks or get us a fork etc etc. had to ask the chef if she went home. Literally zero staff even walking around to assist in her absence! Another couple suggested the chef get directly to the food without the show and we agreed to it so he started right in cooking g then performed after. He’s was so cool and we loved him! Zero apologies from the staff or manager or comps offered or a discount. Nada! Will never ever go back and steer people away from this location. Have been a loyal customer from my Ballet West days and beyond as a child. Never again. Horrible service and mistake in my checkbook! Not the first time I e had a li g wait at the table or hearing about this same poor customer service from a friend or family member.

   I reserved the table two months in advance and showed up only to wait over 35 mins for our table. We showed up 5 mins early and I checked in that morning the day of the reservation. They said something about the person taking the calls screwed up….😵‍💫 I don’t believe it. The cook was good but I was already too upset to care about the rest because of how poor the check in and wait was.

   My waiter rushed us and then proceeded to press the tip herself after pointing out my receipt in my face and my date! Embarrassing and unprofessional, but I chose to not make a scene and just walked my date out!
