   Chris was our person that prepared the meal. Great presentation and cooked the food with a flair and excellence of of a fine chef! Great service and attentiveness to detail of making the customer happy. Two thumbs up to Benihana’s.

   We were seated in a timely manner. Reservations were at 5:30 and we arrived 45 min early. Staff accommodated us promptly. Our waitress was so professional and attentive. Food was delicious.

   Excellent Chef / entertainer. Wonderful tasty food and plenmty of it. A fun celebratory experience and nice people for the shared dining experience. Fernando, bartender, excellent!

   The wait to long. Why list reservation times on OpenTable if you’re running a hour behind. Ended up eating in the bar and the food wasn’t very good.

   Benihana needs to manage their reservation system. Reservations for 7:30pm, sat at 8:45pm. This wasn’t the first time and it won’t be the last. Not going to spend the rest of the time complaining, it is what it is and they won’t fix the problem. Just some advice- plan to wait (they have a bar) and eat at least an hour after your reservation. Our server was super nice, food is ok and overpriced (a kids generic hibachi is $24; adult hovers north of $40 pp) and the place is super loud. I didn’t care about that, but just giving you a general vibe. I swear there were 15 birthday parties there that night (us included- no judgement). You are not coming here for a romantic date night. But come here with your kids- they can be super loud and. I one will bat an eye… just feed them before and order them a lemonade. ;)

   I put in my reservation comments that it would be 3 plus a high chair for a baby. I called on my way and also said I needed a high chair. My husband is out of town and I was coming alone with my 6 and 5 year olds and an 11 month old baby. When it was time for the high chair, they told me they didn’t have any more. I had to hold my baby the entire time and couldn’t eat my food because they didn’t have enough high chairs. Terrible experience for a mom going to dinner with her three young children. I was looking forward to this experience and was so excited to see their reactions. Icing on the cake was the hostess coming to our table asking if I wanted a booster. She’s obviously not a mom because an 11 month old on a booster isn’t possible…

   The service was SO SLOW. we got there at 4:45 and left at 6:45. By then our 3 year old was done. Guests who arrived after us got served before us. For the price it was not worth it.

    Reservation was at 7:15pm and did not get seated until after 8 and ordered at 8:30pm. There were about 30+ other people angry and waiting with us as well. The sad part is, this is the SECOND time in a row this has happened. No apology, no free appetizer, no offer to bring anyone a drink. Just a bunch of rude hostesses annoyed at the front with every guest. The chef however was great - energetic, perfectly cooked food. Too bad we won't be back - we'll stick with Kobe in Seal Beach!
