   I didn't realize until we left that I was charged full price for the kids meal. The food has gone up in the past 6 months and I doubt I will be back anytime soon. This was ridiculous.

   I have been going to this location for years, the service has always been slow but it was slower this round, also the prices have almost doubled since my last visit. More money, slow service, mainly because of structure. It is like the waiters/waitress were all over, not focusing on any table. managers helped clean off table but they had plenty of people working. May need to organize job duties. maybe have a person to assist with drink refills and clearing off tables. Food was not as good as normal. For the price I expected better tasting food and better service. The waitress was extremely nice, but she was slow and appeared a little lost and confused. Good luck, hopeful for a more pleasant experience next time.

   Our server wasn’t actually a trained server. The lady next to us kept complaining, then declined to talk to a manager at the end. So the whole time I was supposed to enjoy a meal with my partner we had untrained staff, and heard complaining the whole time that made us uncomfortable. We had to box our stuff up when the chef was done because it was such an uncomfortable experience. To top it off, the manager, who was working 2/15 at around 10 at night was overwhelmed and you could see it, and the busser was upset at cleaning the tables: we could hear him slamming plates and cussing under his breath. Over all disappointed that this is how me and my partner spent valentines dinner… we both worked 6 days this week and chose Benihana for peace of mind since it’s hibachi and nothing could go wrong, or so we thought. What we saw this night was truly a mess. I feel bad even writing this, but it’s truly unsettling to know we paid over $100 for service that wasnt worth it. This felt like a cash grab from this restaurant; and I’m truly disappointed to have chosen this restaurant for my valentines dinner. Oh, and to top it off, we didn’t get refills hardly ever. We had to ask several times and still wait and remind them to bring the pop. Yeah I’m upset with my experience.

   Over priced, cook didn’t do anything cool, horrible service, tried charging us for doubles for the drinks and they were weak… and it took SO LONG from start to finish and waiting to pay to leave 20 mins. Go to saganos in flint, 10x better.

   It was extremely frustrating as we arrived there were three, yes, three cars parked in the handicap spaces that were not handicap. One was an employee of the establishment who did move his car after we called the police and they were all ticketed. The owner was extremely apologetic but did not assume any responsibility for the establishment. It was told to us that there was nothing they could do about it. I have a double broken foot and in a boot and my son is medically disabled, yet we had to find parking way away from the front door and walk in. That should NOT happen. We were told we would be compensated for our troubles. That did NOT happen either. Our waitress was actually good this time as in the past having the same waitress, usually she is absent and full of attitude. She was actually ON POINT the whole night. Way kudos for her and she was rewarded in tips as of such. The cook was mediocre at best. I ordered my steak rare so that it would not at least be overcooked as it usually is. So ordering it rare I got a medium steak. It was edible so that was fine. The chicken was WAY dried out like stones and a total debacle and same with the shrimp. They don't know when to pull back and take it off the flattop. Those things are way heated..... slow down and pay attention. He was tipped great regardless. The food was so so for the price of two trios with scallops added. Overall I would really give it a 2 but will give them some leniency as the management has changed there so many times that it makes it so difficult for the employees to actually function in a positive manor with respect to how they are treated and the demands put upon them. I try to see all sides but darn, when your bill is $258 you do expect some type, some type of service!! Benihana Dearborn, Michigan..... DO BETTER!!! Shameful!! Kudos to the staff that work their butts off though!!
