   Reservations were made 4 months ago for 5 ish pm, arrived 10 minutes before reservations and told wait might be an hour…., no excuse, if you are going to accept reservations manage them better, do not allow walk-ins the ability to screw up a well planned dining out experience……., you should unplug from Open Tables since reservations are anything but…. Can’t depart without a shoutout to CC our waitress for a smiling face and wonderful job along with out table chef who was in hour 6 of non-stop grilling but holding a smiling face

   First the positives... the food was plentiful, the waitress kept our glasses full, the valet was friendly and efficient, and the landscaping and pond outside the restaurant were lovely. Now the disappointments... despite being plentiful the food but all tasted the same. We didn't visit Benihana expecting a world class meal though I did expect better than we received. We went to Benihana because we expected to have a fun experience with a chef tossing bowls, clanging knives, and having some sort of interaction with us. We got NONE of that. Instead, he stood at the grill and cooked. There was very little interaction with our table overall, and when he did speak to the table, he focused on the family at the other end and ignored our group. It was an expensive and disappointing evening, and we don't plan to return.

   I’ve always enjoyed dining at Benihana, but today’s experience was incredibly disappointing. Despite having a reservation, my family and I had to wait an unreasonably long time because they double-booked tables. It completely threw off our evening, and the lack of communication from the staff only made things worse. This isn’t what I’ve come to expect from a place I used to love. As much as I’ve liked Benihana in the past, I don’t know if we’ll be coming back after this.

   Go earlier than you think. A 4:30 resy means eating around 5,5:15.

   My hibachi shrimp was excellent. The fried rice with chicken was tasty. We enjoyed eating with our friends extended family.

    Food was great and the service great. The only draw back is we had to wait and hour past our scheduled reservation to get sat another 20-30 before the chef arrived.
