                    Food was good as always - burger and fig pizza, usually get pasta entrees which are always very good. Service was not good, waitress forgot our drinks, then tried to tell us that gorgonzola and blue cheese are same thing, we asked since menus had different descriptions for fig pizza. Not her night I guess.

                    Had the crispy artichokes to start. I had expected grilled but they were fried and served with arugula. Yummy. Enough for the 4 of us. Since it was lunch we opted for soups and burger and eggplant Parmesan app. All were delicious. Our server ,Jackie, was so efficient and friendly. Made our New Year’s Eve lunch even more special. Definitely recommend Avvio. Beautiful atmosphere and great bar also.

                    The only thing I would modify- the special chicken salad sandwich was fabulous except for a lot of red onion! I would just omit all together or I put peas in mine.

                    Mussels were delicious very flavorful! Boyfriend loved his sirloin. Tiramisu was light and fresh. Espresso martinis were spot on as well.

                    My girlfriend and I went for an early dinner around 4pm. The noise was pretty quiet, the food was very good. We were happy to see how Gluten friendly this place was. The prices were great for a “fancy” dinner. You could wear hats or normal shoes but you could also dress up in a button up or dress shoes.

                    This was the first time at Avvio. Food was outstanding, the pork diner was extremely flavorful, but not overwhelming, very tender, perfect poutine. The chicken parm panini sandwich was a meal and a half. Great take home. Wait staff, smiling, friendly, being first time there pointed out some of their signature dish’s. Service was one of the best in long time for me as I eat out often.
