Avanti Restaurant offers an intimate dining room with a sleek, Uptown bistro atmosphere, where you can hear live music nightly. For the urban connoisseur dine al fresco, sip, mingle and eat outdoors amongst your friends on the trendy McKinney Avenue strip and enjoy exceptional hospitality.
Chef Mario’s cuisine is inspired by the flavors of Italy and the Mediterranean region. Signature dishes are Pasta Bolognese, Osso Buco, Crab Crusted Sea Bass, Ceviche, Three Cheese Spinach Lasagna, Farfalle Carbonara, or Bone-in Veal Milanese. Our menu also features steaks, lamb, seafood, hand-made fresh pasta, legumes of the season and a Wine Spectator awarded Wine Collection focused on the Italy-Mediterranean including a selection of Texas' rising stars. Avanti has become a Dallas mainstay, a chic neighborhood restaurant for 30 years.

    Simply said, Avanti has the best combination of location, ambience, food quality, bar / wine selection, and the best PROFESSIONAL Staff ( across the board ), that all come together for a perfect evening. A special call out to Martin for making our evening so enjoyable tonight.

    I am somewhat of a regular at Avanti and it NEVER disappoints. the food is always perfect and so consistent...there is nothing like pasta that is steaming hot when it arrives at your table. We request many Dallas restaurants and the caesar salad is the best! And the team is most professional and provides the experience you are looking for whether its dine fairly quick to catch a show or a slow play to visit with old friends. I cannot say enough about the staff, Fritz was our server and he is well know service professional in the city- we are always privileged to have the opportunity to go on nights he is working. 5 stars!

    This small restaurant outperforms every time. The first time I went here was in 1982. And now just last night it has not lost its sparkle as a special place. The service is absolutely excellent and they almost seem to read your mind. The food is wonderful and very reasonably priced. We love it!

    The mushrooms on the appetizers were undercooked. The halibut dish was inedible. The linguini was a very small portion with the clams. The server was terrible.
