Chef Mario’s cuisine is inspired by the flavors of Italy and the Mediterranean region. Signature dishes are Pasta Bolognese, Osso Buco, Crab Crusted Sea Bass, Ceviche, Three Cheese Spinach Lasagna, Farfalle Carbonara, or Bone-in Veal Milanese. Our menu also features steaks, lamb, seafood, hand-made fresh pasta, legumes of the season and a Wine Spectator awarded Wine Collection focused on the Italy-Mediterranean including a selection of Texas' rising stars. Even though we should have made the request to merge our two separate tables of four well in advance, the restaurant accommodated our request and even gave us free desserts for having to wait. I felt like we owed them, but this shows their desires to serve customers incredibly well. And the food was amazing!! And the table service was amazing as well. Highly recommend it!! 5 stars!!

The service in this restaurant is outstanding. We've dined here 4-5 times, and every time it feels like family. We've visited NYC many times, and this restaurant feels like a family restaurant on Mulberry in Little Italy. The owner understands hospitality, friendliness and excellence. We will continue to return.

I hadn't been to Avanti in at least 20 years - I decided to go because it's been around for a long time. Tried and true, right? It was a mild night and we were seated on the enclosed patio. It was bustling and lively. Our server was attentive in an arms length kind of way - friendly enough. He didn't mention any specials like the server did to the table next to ours. It was just the two of us and we shared a salad and ordered an entree each. I had a glass of wine and chocolate martini. All good but nothing outstanding. They are known for date nights and there were lots of young couples around us and everyone seem to be enjoying dinner out.
