   Disappointed by the service and ambiance; the food was as usual quite good. Let me start with ambiance. I specifically requested a private booth. Upon arrival, we were shown a table in the servers traffic zone with an adjacent table less than 3 feet away. It was clear from the start that the restaurant of low on servers. Our server was mediocre, at best; lacking friendly personality and quite run down with other tasks. Not only did he neglect to bring the ordered salad to the table, I found a charge for it on my bill. I have been coming to Arthur’s for 2 decades; this was the first time I had such a negative experience.

   Had an 8:30 reservation but was not seated until 9:30 because the establishment was overbooked. Front desk attendant was nice but overwhelmed. She started sitting groups without reservations because she lost track of who was who. Once seated, our waitress didn’t really have a clue of her role. It was like it was her first day on the job. Didn’t know the menu, no wine or cocktail knowledge. She ended up bringing the wrong bottle of wine to the table. Waited an hour for food to be delivered and steaks were severely undercooked. Ordered medium well, but got medium at best. No seasoning on sides. Was a clear rush job. A $300 rush job. Will not be back. Much better steakhouse locations in the area. Ruined Valentines Day. Needs to do a much better job of booking and forecasting busy special occasion days.

   Fantastic ambiance. It was Valentine’s Day so it was a little crowded and a little noisy from the band but overall an outstanding place for a romantic evening.

   Service was excellent, food was excellent. Entertain was not too loud and very good. However, we had a problem with the wine list. Apparently, the wine list we were given wasn't "current." We remarked to each other at the table that the Cabs were reasonably priced at all under $100 on the first page of the Cabs. We even noted that the last listing on the first page of Cabs was out of order in terms of price at $75, less than the 2 above it. When we got the bill, the wine price was more than double what the list showed. We asked to see the wine list, thinking we ordered the wrong bottle only to be presented with a completely different list. We paid the price of the wine, thinking it wasn't the waiter's fault, and then spoke to the manager who insisted there wasn't any different wine list but the one we got after dinner. Considering the conversation, we are certain the wine list we ordered from wasn't the same as the one we were charged from. That the manager "couldn't find" the list we were given made us think that either it was intentional or that, in trying to cover a mistake, someone was being dishonest. We paid what we were charged, but if we'd wanted a bottle at that price, we would have picked a different one. The only thing we asked was for them to find the "old" wine list and make sure no one else had the same problem. But they refused to acknowledge the mistake and insisted no such "old" wine list even existed, which is why they got only one star. So...take a picture of the wine list if you order a bottle of wine.

   My favorite restaurant in the DFW metroplex. The atmosphere is beautiful and the service is special. Food is always excellent.
