Anton and Michel is now open INDOORS and OUTDOORS at the COURT of the FOUNTAINS.
LUNCH: 11:30 AM – 4:00 PM / DINNER: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM.
Reservations are highly recommended.

Since 1980, Anton and Michel has consistently maintained an award-winning reputation for true excellence in the art of fine dining. A complete interior remodel was recently completed features handset stonework throughout the restaurant. The floor to ceiling windows offer breathtaking views of the Court of the Fountains. Zagat Survey calls it: Carmel’s long-standing paean to graciousness in dining out. Along with updated and contemporary changes to the menus, ultimate table side service flambé desserts remain. As quoted in the Wine Spectator, Anton and Michel is “probably the best dining experience in downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea”.

                                                        Amazing service and food!! On the pricy side, but that was expected going in. However, you get what you pay for! The ambiance was very romantic. I had the Duck Breast and the chef recommended med-rare. I was hesitant but went with the recommendation. I’m sure glad I did! It was tender, succulent, and all around exquisite! We will return!

                                                        Refined & beautiful restaurant. Both the service and the food were excellent. I had the duck and recommend it without reservation (but you should make a reservation to eat here). The cost is pretty high, but in line with what you receive.

                                                        A consistently great place to have a wonderful lunch in Carmel by the Sea. The food is all excellent and there is a very nice wine list. Service is always outstanding.

                                                        We love Anton and Michel, but we never know what the food is going to be like. It can differ from week to week. It's a beautiful place and we enjoy going there, but there is always some trepidation of who the chef might be that night.
