Anton and Michel is now open INDOORS and OUTDOORS at the COURT of the FOUNTAINS.
LUNCH: 11:30 AM – 4:00 PM / DINNER: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM.
Reservations are highly recommended.

Since 1980, Anton and Michel has consistently maintained an award-winning reputation for true excellence in the art of fine dining. A complete interior remodel was recently completed features handset stonework throughout the restaurant. The floor to ceiling windows offer breathtaking views of the Court of the Fountains. Zagat Survey calls it: Carmel’s long-standing paean to graciousness in dining out. Along with updated and contemporary changes to the menus, ultimate table side service flambé desserts remain. As quoted in the Wine Spectator, Anton and Michel is “probably the best dining experience in downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea”.

We had a wonderful dinner here for Christmas with our family, it will forever be our tradition. We live in Carmel an appreciate many local restaurants, but this one is perfect for that special occasion fine dining experience. The menu is diverse and their soup of the day is always an incredible treat. The crab cake is an amazing way to start the meal. They have a fabulous wine selection too. All of the staff are so professional and kind.

We had the pleasure of having a Chanukah/Christmas lunch here and it was amazing. The meal was superb with moments of perfection; but the best part was the service. We were hosted by Sarah who made the entire experience truly exceptional. We have eaten in Michelin starred restaurants around the globe, and the service from Sarah was on par with the finest places we’ve been. Our highlights were the cheese plate, the mushroom risotto, and the pineapple polenta cake (so good), but the meal would not have been half as good without the service. Thanks for a wonderful time!

We enjoyed a pleasant lunch here this afternoon. Food was delicious! I started with the French onion soup. Then I had the filet Mignon for my entree. I wasn’t very impressed with the accompanying fondant potatoes. They were rather plain and bland tasting, which made me regret not having asked to have them swapped out for the bacon leek potato gratin that came with my wife’s rack of lamb. The bacon leek potato gratin was phenomenal! My wife loved her lamb too. Service was attentive and friendly. We were a bit curious why we were not served bread, like the table next to us. As well, I was a bit confounded by the 3.5% eco friendly fee we were assessed. I have never heard of such a thing. There’s something seriously wrong with my home state.

A gorgeous day in Carmel made even more special by delightful lunch, sitting around a beautiful pool. The service the food was exceptional. Very, very relaxing.

Everything was delicious we ordered 1/2 oysters and the onion soup 😋 the entree was amazing the king salmon was my favorite!!! We highly recommend we really enjoyed.
