Amuse is a seasonal, farm to table driven restaurant, located on the third floor of the museum. Whether you are dining in our main dining room, full-service bar, or our private dining room, you will be able to take in sweeping views of the Robins Sculpture Garden and the museum’s Cochrane Atrium. Our team works diligently to provide a menu that is directly inspired by the art-filled surroundings, current exhibitions, and seasonality while also carefully selecting only the finest ingredients from local vendors, artisans, and farmers. Just a friendly reminder that the museum does not allow balloons, confetti, glitter, plants potted with soil, and candles with open flames. Such a lovely experience. See an exhibit then have lunch and then see more of the fabulous museum. We are very lucky to have Amuse and the Museum in Richmond VA!

Started the meal with the complementary “craft” egg which was wonderful. We followed that with the Brussels Sprouts appetizer that were absolutely delicious. My main course was rockfish…meaty and full of flavor.

Amuse is a lovely restaurant within VMFA. Our food and drink were delicious, the ambience was outstanding and the service was excellent. What a lovely way to spend the afternoon (museum and meal) with friends.

One of the entrees was marked on the menus as Gluten Free and then it turned out that they could NOT make it gluten free after all. IF the is the case, the menu SHOULD NOT SAY "GLITEN FREE"!!! Very disappointing in a restaurant of this caliber. I specifically chose this restaurant because of all the gluten free options. PLEASE TRY TO DO BETTER!!!!!!

We brought our mini dach puppy and someone complained- though she made no noise. She alerts my wife when she needs to take diabetes meds but technically is not a certified service dog. Technically yes, we had no papers for her but security asked us to leave. We understand she violated rules and left as requested but we have had early dinner there for 4 years and spent hundreds of dollars over the years, not to mention today in the gift shop. A little holiday spirit would have gone a long way and likely will not renew our membership.
