   This is our 4th visit there over the last year or two. There had been some misses but give the chef’s effort to introduce new dishes. overall a very pleasant place to have a quiet dinner. The service had always been good. Plenty of parking nearby which is a plus.

   As a frequent diner at 80 Thoreau I was a little concerned about their menu changes. Last night we tried 4 “Smalls” and 1 “Medium” from their menu. Ian helped w our choices and Andrew selected a great wine to accompany pur varied menu. Yellow fin tuna crudo, Poached lobster in bisque foam, Bay scallops w green apple and Duck consommé w duck confit. Each serving was small but delicious. Then the Medium option was divided for us. Paccheri-Beef, pancetta, fennel w Parmigiano Reggiano finished our outstanding dining experience. Bravo 80 Thoreau!

   We just celebrated the 45th anniversary of our first date at the same table and reliving the magic of that special occasion. It was "Cafe l'Orange in 1979, subsequently "A Different Drummer" and then "Aigo's Bistro" and, for the past 14 years, "80 Thoreau." This is our special place and we're never disappointed. The food, the service, the setting could not be better. We're always remembered, treated to complimentary champagne and a candle on the dessert, and know we can count on a top-shelf menu, meal, and memory. It is and has long been our default restaurant for a truly outstanding meal and experience. I'll make a reservation for our 46th anniversary dinner as soon as they'll put it in the books.

   We love 80 Thoreau, great for a special occasion. The plates are always inventive, and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. You’d pay a lot more for the same meal in Boston.

   We love the always changing creative cocktail menu. The roasted cauliflower and half chicken were amazingly prepared and flavorful. Excellent service as always!

    80 Thoreau never disappoints. Every dish, whether it be new or an old favorite is outstanding, both in quality and taste. It's my go to restaurant for a special occasion or when I feel like treating myself to the best.
