I came to 22 Square when it first opened and it was a fantastic experience but I believe they lost their chef and changed the dining experience. The space looks more like a cafe now but they’re charging fine dining prices. The service woman was sweet but kept disappearing and was extremely slow with orders even though there were only two seated tables. Food was disappointing as many dishes felt like they were frozen food and just heated up just above being thawed. My shrimp and grits was between lukewarm to cold grits with warm shrimp and sauce over it, the burger was dry and several of the listed menu drinks were out of stock. Would not do this again.

It was Christmas evening, so fixed menu. Food was good, not great, but for the day acceptable. The service however was abysmal. Our waitress was clueless. Can't recommend.

The restaurant is in the lobby of the hotel. We went for the Christmas dinner experience. The prime rib was fatty and tasteless but they were kind enough to switch for the fish dish which was better. However, obviously not what I wanted or else I would have ordered that initially. Service was very slow but friendly. It was average overall. Wouldn’t recommend the experience as it was $60 a person for one starter, main and dessert. For the same price you can go down the street and have a Christmas buffet that had all these options and more.

First, I want to point out my server (his initial is J) was very sweet and pleasant. He was attentive and prompt. It's unfortunate I paid $60 for a meal on Christmas that was terrible. Of the choices offered, I ordered the ham with mac & cheese and broccoli casserole, the Cesar salad and a yule log dessert. The ham was so over cooked it barely tasted like ham, and I had to douse it with salt and pepper to bring out the flavor. The broccoli casserole was uneatable. The mac & cheese was pretty good. The salad was okay. The yule log dessert was so dry and seemed like it had been sitting out all day. I was very disappointed and wouldn't recommend.

Unfortunately, we did not have a pleasant experience with our Christmas dinner. We had reservations at 4:30pm. We were seated and ordered right away. We did not see our waiter again until we questioned why we had not received our salads…..it was 5:30pm when we were finally served our salads. There was no explanation as to why it took so long. Our entrees were disappointing as well. My husband had the prime rib dinner and I had the glazed ham dinner. They both seemed over cooked and as if they had been prepared earlier and simply warmed up. Not what we expected for $60 per person. We will not go back.

Spent $315 for Christmas dinner and it was definitely not worth it. The main course was absolutely disgusting. The prime rib was all fat, barely any meat. No flavor or seasoning. The salad was probably the best thing they had to offer. Way overpriced and didn’t even offer any dinner rolls or bread. Didn’t get my drink until after my meal. I wish I just cooked my own Christmas dinner at the Airbnb. If zero start was an option I would have chose that.

The food was good, but the service was very slow-especially for a pre-set menu for which we reserved seats WELL in advance. We were also given a pre-set “experience” price, but when the bill came we were overcharged for things which were supposed to be included. Not a great value-we feel tourists are regularly soaked here. Next time we will go to the Chinese buffet.

We had a lovely Christmas brunch at 22 Square today. The overworked staff stayed positive and friendly through a busy peak time, and the food was excellent. A comfortable casual environment for a daytime meal across from the Square. Thank you!
